I’ve always been drawn to helping people. I find helping others is just as satisfactory as helping myself. Creative projects, teamwork and drawing connections between my efforts and the things I love continually motivates me.
Always hungry for more, I’m a driven individual who focuses on what needs to be done. I’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done properly, proactively to the best level I can produce.
I do not like the word bored. I’m always looking for something to do because being bored is too stagnant—too boring.
Growing up a millennial has shaped my perspective on marketing. Having grown up using phones, computers and having access to whole other world on the net, has taught me many things. But there are two things which stand out in my mind: one, what attracts a human eye? Two, the internet is and will always be an ongoing development. This has made me aware of what people are attracted to. Social media statistics, algorithms, SEO, etc. show the consumer and marketer what people are attracted to. Surrounded by social media users, shows me what certain age groups like, share, save. And this helps me design social content, newsletters, and promotional material for clients.
Communication, teamwork and a solid work ethic are the most important things in business. Communication allows companies to be productive and operate effectively. Teamwork enables teams to find more creative solutions to everyday situations. A solid work ethic allows a business to run more efficiently.
Clients who don’t know their own brand are difficult to work with. These clients don’t have a long-term vision of how they want their business to be portrayed. When creating social media and promotional content it is difficult to create the best content for a client who isn’t sure who they are.
Constructive criticism is the best way to improve as an employee. I ask a lot of questions and am always looking for ways to improve upon my current abilities.
An effective manager does not stagnate. They are always learning and listening to their employees. I believe successful managers know what employees need to do to work effectively, stay productive, and contribute to a satisfactory client experience.
Design thinking is about thinking beyond the boundaries. Taking work to the next level and beyond if possible is the ideal. However, “less is more” is still important, because the simple things can make a piece of content extraordinary.
I like trying new things in the design environment. I’m constantly introduced to new situations and I don’t get flustered easily by it. I love learning new things.
A good client works with you to achieve their goals. Cooperation affords a higher standard of success, and you can’t but help but feel a sense of accomplishment after you helped a client achieve their goals.
A bad client doesn’t know why they’re in business. They have no clear through-line and change the idea of who they want to be on a whim.
“It takes months to find a customer and only seconds to lose one.” – Vince Lombardi
Good marketing puts a spotlight on your business. It shows people why you’re worth their attention, and why they will want to keep paying attention to you.
I’ve always had a love of Tchaikovsky. Listening to Tchaikovsky’s famous pieces as well as Mozart, Beethoven and Queen have engendered in me a love of creativity. This coupled with the pleasure I find in drawing, designing (computer design, wearable art design etc) drives me towards a career in the creative industries.
Eternally upbeat, motivated and optimistic for tomorrow. Even when tired after work, I’m still upbeat, still looking to do something productive, still hopefully for the morrow.
Amateurs practice until they can play it correctly. Professionals practice until they cannot play it incorrectly. This mentality defines my approach to my hobbies and my career goals. It’s easy to say you practiced or you tried, however, if you want to do something properly every time you have to push yourself to practice until you can’t do it incorrectly.
Music is my hobby. I’ve been playing violin for seven years now and I like teaching myself songs on my keyboard. I am working toward my AMEB 8 th grade, AMus and hopefully my ATCL Exams. This helps me pursue a side career opportunity.
I love movies. If I am not able to keep myself up for a movie, I’ll listen to music, listen to an audiobook or read a book. I enjoy spending time with my family and siblings. I love learning languages. I teach myself some European languages – I guess to kill time and use time effectively, even if it’s not entirely effective – and I learnt Spanish at school. I am half-decent at having a fluent conversation with someone in Spanish.
